FRP Cooling Towers Series DXT is constructed using chemically treated wood. The tower is designed using the counter or cross flow design. These towers are suitable for use in industrial plants, steel mills and petrochemical mills etc. The FRP Cooling Towers Series DXT are extremely durable and capable of withstanding harsh atmospheric conditions. This type of cooling tower is generally used in Power Plants, Fertilizer Plants, Sugar Plants, Ferro-Alloy plants, cement plants etc.
In the FRP Cooling Towers Series DXT crossflow cooling systems, the water flows vertically through the fill media, while the air flows horizontally across the falling water. That is why it is called “crossflow”- the air and water cross each other’s paths or flows. The air does not need to pass through the distribution system, because of the crossing of flows. This allows the use of hot water flow naturally, via gravity and distribution basins on the top of the tower right above the fill media. The basins are a standard of crossflow cooling towers and are applied on all units.
